Times have changed. At the dawn of the new millennium, the market economy has become the dominant force to shape the world, and information technology is bringing the world together in an ever-increasing rate. New generations raised in the advanced technological environment of today are making the established engineering education obsolete. To that end, a systems approach is proposed in this preliminary study. This is done by modeling the learning system using X Centered Models and Integrated Model. Using developed system models, preliminary analysis and design of the learning system is performed using Business and Service approaches. Finally, a Business/Service hybrid approach based on an Integrated Model within the framework of the global home is recommended for further study towards optimization of the learning system performance.
