STUDY AND APPLICATION OF Ti-31 ALLOY FOR SHIPS AND MARINE ENVIRONMENT

摘要

Ductility and toughness, stress corrosion resistance in seawater, hydrogen corrosion resistance in water solution under high temperature and pressure, workability and application of Ti-31 alloy have been studied in this paper. Results show that Ti-31 alloy has high ductility and toughness, long-time rupture strength and excellent stress corrosion resistance, it doesn't absorb hydrogen and has no hydrogen embrittlement phenomenon in pure water and weak alkaline solution. This alloy is easy to work and good material for shipbuilding and marine environment.
