Effect of depressants in flotation of celestite-calcite ore from Sivas-Nasir

Celestite and calcite are salt type minerals. Therefore, separation of celestite from calcite by flotation is difficult. This study was carried out to determine the more effective depressant on calcite for selective flotation. As a result, by using sodium silicate, gum arabic and quebracho in different dosages, saleable concentrate was obtained.
