In this paper, the results of Multi-Gravity Separator (MGS) upgrading tests on chromite gravity tailings of Etibank Uckopru Karagedik concentrator are presented. The - 106 microns fraction of the tailings contains 20.6percent Cr_2O_3. Mtal/screen analyses proved that about 80 percent of chromite was present in this fine fraction. A series of tests were performed with a laboratory/pilot scale MGS using -106 microns feed. In continuous tests, under optimum operation conditions, a concentrate with 49,7 percent Cr_2O_3 content and 64.9 percent chromite yield could be produced.
