Design of Large Bridge Over the Matchesta River in Seismic Zone

摘要

This paper deals with the major seismic design features of the 900 m bridge over the river Matchesta near the Sochi city, South Russia. Efficient structural measures to mitigate earthquake action are discussed. Detailed local site conditions assessment resulted in elaborating of detailed mapping that allowed for modification of the value of seismicity.
