CFD simulations in complex geometry like Coal Pulverisers are studied through multi-block structured grids using state-of-art CAD Softwares. To compute the flow distribution and particle flow paths in the mill, solid model has been constructed from engineering part drawings, as a first step, using SDRC's IDEAS software. The geometry has been broken into several parts and discretised by structured mapped mesh and has been taken to flow solver for simulation of flow using finite volume based multigrid commercial TASCflow software. The numerical simulation presented in this paper reveals that presence of several solid objects causes swirl motion at inlet, and then non-uniform flow at different planes at height of the mill, resulting to unequal air-particle flow at the exit of Bowl Mill.
