Refined natural kaolinite has been used as a starting mateirla for preparing new lithium fast ion conductors Li_1+2x+yAl_xY_yTi_2-x-ySi_xP_3-xO_12 system by high temeprature (approx 1100 deg C) solid phase reaction for abut 20h. the syntheses temperatures lower with increasing the value of x and y for the above system. X-ray powder diffraction showed that a Lisicon phase with R3c space group exists in the composition range of x=0.1, y<=0.8; x=0.2, y<=0.6 and x=0.3, y<=0.2 possesses maximum ionic conductivity of 7.64x10~-5S/cm at room temperature, while at 673K the composition with x=0.1, y=0.4 possesses the best ionic conductivity of 8.21x10~-3 S/cm.
