摘要

DGA (dissolved gas analysis) results in a normally operating transformer are shown to be related to the operating condition of the transformer. It is concluded that the dissolved gas generation rates and gas loss from the free breathing conservator is significant. The generation rate of dissolved gases can be reduced dramatically by removing the oxygen from the oil. A method of using a continuous nitrogen purge to deoxygenate and dry the oil is described.
