The development of Dong Feng Motor Co.LPG and CNG engines and vehicles is presented. Through the determination of the compression ratio, optimum of hte ignition control, A/F ratio and LPG and CNG supply circuit, increasing the intake charge efficiency, the power reduces slightly, exhaust emission can be reduced obviously than the original gasoline 1 fueled engines. A sieres of LPG and CNG vehicles are developed, type proved and put into market. It has significant efect on the environmental protection
