摘要

The part shown in fig 1 is a return spring used in a relay, it is made by stainless steel which is 0.18mm thick. As a spring the change of its angle will have a deep effect on the relay's performance. From Fig 1, we see the part has many more bends, besides some dimensions take a intersection as a reference point, the change of angel can affect the dimensions easily, and stainless steel has a property of great regress. Ml of these lead to the difficulties in forming the part. During the process of developing the product, we made the part by way of single working procedure, but it is difficult to locate the semi product, angle is unstable, dimensions is often changeable, low efficiency. To be efficient during the batch production and improve the stability of dimension we decide to design Progressive Die.
