Trends in the nonferrous wire industry

Copper, aluminum, brass, bronze, alloys and precious mettal wires are used in the construction of many types of insulated wire and cable including power cable, building wire, electronic cable, communications cable magnet wire and harness wires as well as mechanical wire products. In addition, alternatives to nonferrous metals, such as optical fiber and superconductive materials, are being used and developed. This pape presents the technical state of the nonferrous wiredrawing industry in terms of the machinery, controls and materials used to draw nonferrous wire as well as economic overview of the nonferrous wiredrawing market.
