Enamellurgy of Vit 3 Steel

摘要

Vit 3 is liquid decarburized and titanium stabilized steel that has excellent enamelability and is capable of extra deep draws. Since it is effectively zero carbon, Vit 3 has no carbon reboil. It also has no fishscale, excellent glass bond, and minimal warpage. The steel chemistry and metallurgy required to obtain these results is reviewed.
