The antibacterial activity of different types of structures obtained via the forcespinning method is investigated. One type of structure is consisting of Nylon 6 polymer fabricated as mesh of nanofibers and further on coated with silver thin films using the magnetron sputtering deposition. The second type of structure is Nylon 6 polymer nanofibers with the incorporation of ampicillin sodium salt at different concentrations and manufactured using the same technique. The morphology and composition of the structures are investigated using the scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-Ray Diffraction. The behavior and antibacterial properties of silver coated Nylon 6 nanofibers and ampicillin incorporated nanofibers are tested against two types of bacteria: Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli.
