摘要

The effects of hot mill processing conditions and niobium content on the variations in tensile and yield strength along the length of hot rolled coils have been studied using plant data and the results of laboratory investigations. The programme indicates the need to compensate for the exposure related cooling effects of the inner and outer most laps. It also highlights the existence of optimum hot rolling conditions in developing the desired grain size and precipitation strengthening contributions.
