Effect of Vanadium on Mechanical Properties and Bake Hardenability in ULC Steels

Increased fuel economy continues to be a focus for automobile manufacturers. Simultaneously, imporved resistance to dents is also a much sought after goal. To meet these dual objectives, use of high strength sheet steel for automotive applications and bake hardenable steels for exposed outer body panels in particular, continues to increase.
