A framework for reusable and rehostable software

In software development, few options exist for achieving significant cost reduction. Increasing productivity through software reuse is one of the few viable options. Domain-based reuse has been used successfully by the CVOE program. It can beapplied more broadly throughout an organization. For this to happen, a comprehensive software reuse and productivity strategy that encourages domain-based reuse and the development of general-purpose products is needed.
