This paper presents the methods and results of a series of calculation performed on Dashengguan electrical transmission tower-line system for analyzing the dynamic characteristics and wind induced responses of such a high-rise and long-span structure system. The frequencies and mode shapes of the tower-line system in longitudinal and crosswise direction are calculated by two different tower-line coupled modes of multi-degree-of freedom respectively, and the coupled effects between tower and cable are investigated. The dynamic behaviors of the tower-line system under wind loads are analyzed when wind flow acts along longitudinal and crosswise direction respectively, and wind induced responses of the system in along-wind and across-wind directions at each angle of attack are investigated in frequency domain.
