Mobile phones and human heads

摘要

Public and media perception is that the safety of mobile phones used against the head is unproven. Standards and limits are based on thermal considerations; but nevertheless different countries have different standards. Measurements for compliance with standards should be possible by modelling techniques once these have been adequately validated. Measurements are essential to enable exposure of subjects, both for thermal and non-thermal considerations, to be assessed. There are still gaps in the technology to allow this to happen.
