Monitoring and assessment of reinforced concrete structures

Assessment of a structure following an earthquake is an essential part of post-earthquake inspections. However, due to the large number of structures, immediate and comprehensive inspections are often difficult, if not impossible. This research investigates the use of embedded sensors as a means of assessing the behavior and condition of a reinforced concrete structure.
