Based upon prior knowledge,several mathematicla models, for example,the Ramberg-Osgood model and the BW model,have been proposed in describing hysteresis by using the underlying physical principles of the systems that are expressed in terms of mathematical equations.Nevertheless,those physical principles governign majority of hysteretic elements are either difficult to define or the model parameters in general cannot be accurately estimated.
