Frederick Soddy left McGill in March 1903 to take up a post in University College, London. Thus four of the joint Rutherford-Soddy papers were actually published after Soddy had left Canada. Rutherford remained at McGill another four years, until 1907, when he moved to Manchester University in England. During these four years, Rutherford published several papers with co-authors, but none of his later partnerships were as significant, or as fruitful, as that with Frederick Soddy.
