Phase behavior of blends of bisphenol-A polycarbonate(PC) with several poly(ester-ether) elastomers(PEEs) containing 15(PEE-!5) to 62wt%(PEE-62) soft segment was studied in comparison with that of PC/PBT blends. The techniques used were DSC, RMS and transmission electron microscopy. The phase behavior of the PC/PEE blends varied from immiscible to miscible depending on the amount of soft segment of PEE. T_cs and T_ms of PBT and PEE-62 were not affected by the presence of the PC and two T_g peaks were observed, corresponding to those of pure components. It supposes that these blends are immiscible. In contrast, the blends of PC with PEE-15, PEE-30 and PEE-42 were found to be miscible. Thermal, dynamic mechanical and morphological evidences supported this view.
