Cramer-Rao Bounds for Communication in Sub-Gaussian Alpha-Stable Impulsive Interference

摘要

Modern wirelessmultiple access networks experience multi-user interference which differs form the traditional Gaussian noise mdoel employed in cimmunication systems. Statistical models for this interference can be provided by sub-Gaussian alpha-stable processes. Reserach in this driection follows the directions of (i) validation of the alpha-stable model via simulaitn and real-data testing, (ii) derivation of theoretical performance bounds for optimum algorithms within the proposed model, (iii) development and implementation of new, advanced adaptive signal processing algorithms, nonlinear in their natuure, for combatting the interference, and (iv) extensive testing of jthe algorithms and documentation of their relative mertis.
