Enantioselective s ynthesis of chiral products in a biphasic hollow fiber reactor

This work reports the use of the enzyme pig liver esterase (PLE) to catalzye the enantioelective hydrolysis of the substrate cis-cyclohex-4-ene-1, 2-dicarboxylate to the chiral product of pharmaceuitcal interest, methyl-hydrogen (1S-2R)-cyclohex-4-ene-1, 2-dicarboxylate.
