摘要

The throughput and channel-access delay performance of a novel slotted CDMA-based medium-access-control protocol, with a channel-overload sensing feature, for wireless broadband communications networks is presented. The performance of this protocol is compared with those of ALOHA DS/SSMA and dynamic slot assignment (DSA). The results show that the proposed protocol offers capacity gains and delay performance advantages over both ALOHA DS/SSMA and DSA. Also, we present a fair method for normalising the throughput of CDMA-based MAC protocols when compared with other dissimilar schemes.
