摘要

The Laplace finite element alternating procedure developed by the authors is applied to the transient response of a finite plate containing multiple edge cracks with different lengths/ positions /orientations. The influence on the transient displacement and stress due to the interactions of finite geometrical boundaries and distributed cracks is presented. The response curves thus obtained will be useful for the development of the nondestructive detection technique to detect the presence, length, position and orientation of cracks.
