Using different proportional mixtures of Ni-coated MoS_2, Cr_3C_2 -NiCr and Ni60 powder, new typical wear resistant and self-lubricant coatings were formed on low carbon steel by HVOF. The microstructure and phase composition of the composite coatings were studied by optical microscope and XRD. The results indicate that the coated powder can efficiently prevent itself from oxidize and decompose in the spray,and the Cr_3C_2 phase and MoS_2 phase can be reserved in the coatings. The mechanic and tribological properties tests were also carried out on corresponding test machine. The experiment results indicate that compared with the coating which did not affix self-lubricating agent, the self-lubricant coating's micro-hardness and anchoring strength decline with great extent. The MoS_2/ Cr_3C_2/Ni60 composite coatings can realize self-lubricant, and the lubricant phase and horniness phase in the coatings have great effect on friction coefficient. In this experiment, when the content of Ni-coated MoS_2 is 40wt%, Cr_3C_2 -NiCr is 40wt% and Ni60 is 20wt%, the coating has the best wear and friction property.
