Using carbon black as reducing agent, Panzhihua Iron and Steel Co. blast furnace (BF) slag and industrial pure iron powder as raw materials, the molten reduction reaction process was occurred in an induction furnace. The influence of processing parameters on the precipitation behavior of the perovskite crystallization was studied emphatically. In addition, their phase compositions and microstructure of the samples were determined and observed by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope ( SEM) . The results showed that titanium element contained in BF slag can effectively enrich and generate perovskite crystallization employing the molten reduction technology in induction furnace. Morphology of the generated perovskite crystals presents granular and columnar in shape, and the crystal grain size is coarsened apparently; Some ferrosilicium alloy can be easily formed because the industrial pure iron powder added in samples reacts with the silicon element contained in BF slag, the appearance of ferrosilicium alloy can make the BF slag has higher alkalinity value, which promotes effectively the transformation of low valent titanium ion to higher valent titanium ion, consequently, the produce of the perovskite crystallization and the dendrites coarsening are promoted.
