The Practical Equation for The Prediction of Shear Strength of Unsaturated Soils

摘要

This paper analyzed the correlation between the air phase patterns of unsaturated soils and the soil-water characteristic curve(SWCC), and then proposed a practical expression for the SWCC within the range of practical itnerest for geotechnical engineers. Consequently, the present equation for predicting the shear strength of unsaturated soils was simplified for ready engineering application.
