On the Structural Strength of Unsaturated Soils

摘要

The definition of structural cohesion, structural inner frictional angle and structural strength of unsaturated soils are given in this paper. The structural cohesion and the structural inner fritional angle of unsaturated soils are the cohesion and inner frictional angle of unsaturated soils respectively. The structural strength is function of suction, effective cohesion and effective inner frictional angle, and the structural strength equals to the difference of structural cohesion and effective cohesion.
