A New Stripping Process for Cobalt Recovery from Organophosphonic Acid

A new process was developed to strip cobalt from Co-loaded M2EHPA phase using ammonium carbonate solutions and to eliminate the use of expensive oxalic acid for cobalt precipitation as in the conventional process for fabricating cobalt oxide powders. The new stripping process was described and some factors affecting cobalt stripping were discussed.
