Drawing-stranding tandem process: new perspectives in automotive cable manufacturing

摘要

A new multiwire drawing-stranding tandem process has been developed to reduce production cost and investment for automobile cable manufacturing. The new proces allows no intermediate spooling, stocking or paying-off for successive standing operations. Prototype lines are under production tests. The paper describes in detail this new technology and the machine's characteristics.
