Reliability of connections: a comparison of AA-8000 series aluminum alloy stranded conductors against electrically equivalent copper conductors using an accelerated performance test

To demonstrate reliability of connections, performance of AA-8000 series aluminum alloy stranded conductors is compared against electrically equivalent copper conductors by subjecting their connections, prepared using varied methods with mechanical screw pressure connectors, to a heatcycling test that is more severe than current industry standard protocols.
