Novel resin systems consisting of cyanate esters or propargyl ethers and energy transfer sensitizers are being investigated as E-beam processable resins for composite space structures. Preliminary E-beam exposure data indicates that these materials are amenable to radiation-induced curing, thus creating the next generation of e-beam-processable resin materials designed to meet the rigorous requirements for space applications.
