摘要

The main objective of the present paper is to propose a new model for the hydrodynamics in a conventionnal bubble-diffuser three-chamber ozonation reactor. The computer code ASTRID, developed by EDF to simulate dispersed two-phase flows, was used to predict the gas distribution in the full scale contactor and deduce its mass transfer efficiency and disinfection performances. It is shown that the CFD simulation tool can give accurate predictions for the flow pattern and the hydrodynamic characteristics of the system and therefore can be used successfully as design and refinement tool for water treatment facilities.
