摘要

The paper was involved with the large scale model test on the characteristics of steel and reinforced concrete lining penstock used in the Three-Gorge Power Station. The penstock is set inside the shallow chute downstream the gravity dam. In the test, the plane experiment method was used and the materials in the real project was chosen. All the physical features such as stress distribution, bearing ratio, first crack load, crack width and its growing process were studied. The limit bearing capacity of the stricture and the effectiveness of conduit cracks on the body of dam were also investigated. Besides, the properties of stress induced by temperature load as well as variation features of temperature cracks were introduced.
