NEW UNDERSTANDING OF WATER INFILTRATION IN SATURATED CLAY AQUITARD

(1) The large and micropore channels are both existed in the clayed soil. The study on infiltration rules in saturated clayed soil actually includes the transformation of gravitational and bound water in two channels mentioned above. In the large pore channel, gravitational water existed which can infiltrate under the hydraulic gradient and can be described by Darcy's law. In micro-pore channel, it fills with bound water. Under a certain
