ON THE MATELLOGENIC CONDITIONS AND GENESIS OF THE BAYAN OBO IRON-NIOBIUM REE DEPOSIT, INNER MONGOLIA

During the late two or three decades, the metallogenic conditions and genesis of the Bayan Obo iron-niobium REE deposit have been intensively investigated because they are important in the interpertation of the tectonic and sedimentary history of the continental margin, and for discovering new deposits. The present paper is mainly based on the new data of 1:50000 regional geological mapping and sampling recently carried out.
