Conventionally, the Qilian orogenic belt stands for the vast area east of the Altun fault, south of the Alxa massif, west of the Ordos platform, and north of the Qaidam massif and the central Qinling Mountains. It covers an area more than 400,000 km~2 (Fig. 1). The Qilian orogenic belt is very complicated in tectonics due to a long period of development and evolution.
