A PALAEOSLOPE ZONE OF CAMBRIAN-ORDOVICIAN ON THE SOUTH-EAST MARGIN OF THE YANGTZE PLATFORM IN SOUTH CHINA

摘要

There is a Cambrian-Ordovician palaeoslope zone which extends for more than two thousand kilometers on the southeastern margin of the Yangtze platform. The northwestern part of the zone is a vast carbonate platform or shoal water shelf while the southeastern part is a deep water basin (Fig. 1). The paper mainy intends to address sedimentary types of the palaeoslope zone and its tectonic setting.
