LOCATION OF BURIED GOLD OREBODIES UNDERNEATH VERY THICK QUATERNARY OVERBURDENS IN A HIGH-MAGMATIC SUSCEPTIBILITY AND HIGH-CHARGEABILITY AREA USING EPIGENETIC ANOMALIES
The Henanzhuang gold district in Xixia county, Henan Province, is located in the south branch of the east section of the Qinling Mountains. The exposed strata in the east part of the district are the Shichaoguo Formation of the middle Proterozoic Qinling group. In the west part there occur extensive Quaternary alluvial-diluvial deposits. The orebodies occur in marble and dolomite marble of the Shicaogou Formation (Fig. 1). The regional Shangcheng-Nanyang fracture passes through the north part the gold district. Orebodies are controlled the east-tilted end and north limb of the Tanggou-Niuxin Mountain syncline. The magmatic rocks are mainly gneissic amphibolite, quartz diorite, fine-grained granite and granite porphyry. The mineralization is closely related to quartz diorite.
