A tritium monitoring system for measuring tritium in low humidity (DTO) nitrogen gas has been developed. Heated ion chambers (at 393 K) measure the amount of tritium that is deposited directly from the waste processing system onto process disposable molecular sieve bed (DMSB) shipping containers at TFTR. For process flow rates up to 1415 L min/sup -1/(50 SCFM) and water vapor compositions up to 5000 ppm/sub v/, tritium activity up to 27 Ci/m/sup 3/ has been measured. Preliminary data from over 20 batch processes are presented.
