An Image Compression System Based on Wavelet Transform

This paper is about an image compression system, in which the wavelet transform(WT) is used for decomposing and reconstructing digital image. Then, a few methods of quantizing and coding are employed during the procedure, especially the method of "Second V.Q.". This system has been emulated on computer, and it proves to be effective.
