This paper describes the effects of combined neutron and gamma radiation as produced by a pulsed TRIGA reactor on a 100/140 $mu@m 1 $MUL 2 fused biconical tapered coupler and a LiNbO$-3$/ polarization maintaining directional coupler. Measurements for both devices are described for two fluence levels, with the transverse electric and transverse magnetic output signals separately measured for the directional coupler.
