In a 3 -phase synchronous generator with double-pole induced - excitation. the rotor field currents are induced in the rotor field coils by a double-pole stationary magnetic field established by a stator dc winding- The effects of the double -pole magnetic field on the performances of the generator are investigated theoretically and experimentally in the paper.
