Broadband fibre transmission in the access network

摘要

This paper discusses the introduction of broadband services in the access network. The discussion is concentrated on the way to offer VOD services with POTS services considering a possible integration of CATV services. The optical transmission aspects are taken into account and particularly, investigations on duplex transmission are highlighted with experimental results.
