The pools in the main pen flat area are serivced by a recirculating fresh water system. Fresh water is used b ecause of the inherent lower costs when compared to salt water and the mfact that the animals are tolerant of it. The original design used ozone exclusively for disinfaction. This design failed. Coliform counts weter routinely TNC.
