Pilot scale investigation of biological drinking water treatment

摘要

This paper describes the initial stages of a comprehensive evaluation of biological treatment of drinking water. The research is examining the application of biofilm process fundamentals and kinetics to drinking water biological treatment, the optimization of filtration performance for biologically active filters, the quantification of the removal of specific odorous compounds and possible negative impacts of biological treatment such as bacterial toxims and disinfection issues.
