Ozone in biological treatment of surface water

TO get rid of the drawbacks of chlorine (THM, TOX, Tastes and Odors) and to increase the removal of the biodgeradable organic carbon, the District Urbain de Nacy decided in 1990 to build a pilot plant simulating a biological treatment train without chlorine addition in order to provide a drinking water of a high quality with no risk of bacterial regrowth all along the distribution network up tho the customer's taps.
