The ECOBRIGHT process requires 20 - 100 times less ozone than the traditional ozonation systems. For industrial waste water the ozone consumption is around 0.1 kg/kg COD reduction and for swage water even below 0, 01 kg/kg. Very stable components like tetra (CCL_4) can also be oxidized. Ozone just initiates the oxidation reaction rather than (over) stoechiometrically being consumed.
